We had a pretty good weekend in all...not too much going on but not a complete waste either.
Friday night was pretty low key. I did my regular Target run to pick up a little something for a project that I have been wanting to do for about a month now. We have double doors leading from our bedroom into the living room, I recently put some new curtains on them but I wanted something a little more. Then I came across this post on TDC's blog and I immediately wanted to do it on my doors. I had everything I needed and got to work....I did it exactly how she did hers and guess what...it looked like complete crap!! I was sooo pissed! Then I tried it a couple of different ways and nothing...there were all kinds of lines & scratches and no matter how I did it, it just didn't look good!! I decided to give up {for the time being, I will get it to look good eventually} so we decided to go to Pizza Hut for supper, which wasn't the best idea. For starters we got there and the parking lot was almost completely full...the only time I've ever seen it like that was during lunch for the buffet! We stayed anyways, walked in and waited at least 15 minutes to be seated while the workers just kept looking at us!! It was worth it though, for some reason I'm in love with the salad there so once I got that I was happy! When we got home Keegan asked if the football game was on TV...he was pretty excited about it because they talked about it at school that day and each kid got to pick which team they thought was going to win. Part of the conversation went a little like this:
Ryan: Who do you think is going to win?
Keegan: The suckers
Ryan: Do you mean the Packers?
Keegan: Ya, the Packers!
HAHAHA....I love when he says stuff like that!!
Saturday was spent doing stuff around the house. I finally decided to tackle the project of shredding all our paper stuff that has any kind of account numbers, etc. on it. Well, I came to the conclusion that I either need to a. buy a new shredder or b. shred more often!! It took me almost two freakin hours to get it all done because the shredder got too hot like 5 times and I would have to wait for it to cool off before I could keep shredding. In the end, I ended up with a whole garbage bag full of shredded paper....I think I even had some stuff from the end of 2009 in there! Whoops! That night we went out to celebrate Josh's 30th birthday and had a great time with some pretty great friends!! It's always nice when we get a chance to be able to get out with friends! I think the guys had the best time when they decided to buy the whole jar of pickled eggs and convinced people to eat them.
Sunday was a sleep in late, eat greasy food {and lots of peach pie} and do nothing kind of day. We watched the first half the Super Bowl at the in-laws house and headed home to watch the rest of the game. It turned out Keegan was right, thesuckers Packers ended up winning and he was happy to hear that this morning! I have to say that I was not impressed with the half time show at all!! I'm a big BEP fan so I was expecting something really good and was definitely let down. Yes, the sound was off but so was Fergie's voice! She did not sound good at all, which really surprised me because they were amazing when I saw them live. The best part of the show was when Usher came out...I love the way he moves and he is definitely easy on the eyes! The only thing that would have been better is if he would have taken his shirt off!!
