Confession Friday

Surprised to see this today?! I'm kinda surprised myself, it's been so long I almost forgot how it's done but for some reason I'm just feeling it today!

I confess that I tried convincing Keegan into going to grandma & grandpa's house today so I could have the house to myself but it didn't work. Mother of the year award right here!! 

I confess that the closest thing to cooking I've done all week was throwing a couple of cans of chicken noodle soup in a pot and making grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch yesterday....oh, I almost forgot I made breakfast this morning. Guess that takes the cooking count up to 2 for the week!

I confess that I just downloaded pictures from Halloween onto the computer the other night, I'm not very good at remembering to do that!

I confess that I didn't get on Pinterest for like 4 days in a row and I was seriously starting to get some anxiety about it....I'm pretty sure that I missed some great pins!!

I confess that yesterday during my ultrasound the first words out of my mouth when she said Carson is weighing about 9 lbs 3 oz were "holy crap"! Then she proceeded to say that it could be off by a pound or so {more or less} because it is hard to tell exactly when they are that big. I mean, I kinda figured he would be big considering Keegan was 9lbs 9oz but for some reason I didn't think he would be that big!!

I confess that I intended on doing a post about Keegan's birth story for his birthday {which was Monday} but I obviously never got around to doing that....partially because I have to dig and find the disc with the pictures on it from when he was born. 

I confess that I got some bad news earlier this week: I was told that I can't wear any makeup when I go in for my c-section!! WTF?!?! I thought one of the advantages to having a planned c-section was being able to look decent!! I'm contemplating making a rule that no pictures are allowed to be taken of me until after I've had a chance to put some makeup on in the recovery room! 

 

I confess that I bought a package of Oreos for the first time in for.ev.er yesterday and I may or may not have eaten a whole row all by myself, within a couple of hours. In my defense I haven't been gaining any weight at my dr. appointments so what's a dozen cookies or so going to do! ;)

I confess that I'm not sure if I will ever get around to doing a post about his birthday party. I throw a couple of pictures in here just in case I don't do it!

I confess that we got the baby swing and the bouncer out the other night and seeing them sitting out in the living has suddenly made the whole "I'm having a baby in a week & a half" seem real.

I confess that I'm not as excited about the lighted parade tonight as I thought I would be....I think it's because it's going to be cold as hell and I don't really have anything that fits anymore! I just might have to wear one of Ryan's hoodies to cover up this big 'ole baby in my belly!

I confess that we turned the furnace on for the first time this morning and I hated doing it!! I was really hoping that we wouldn't have to turn it on until after Carson comes but it was down to 62 in the house and even I was cold. However, it's not staying on, pretty sure I'm going to go turn it off!

life lately

Hi, my name is Meagan {just in case you forgot}  & I'm a horrible blogger! I can't believe I went almost a month without posting anything....time seems to be slipping by like crazy! Not a whole lot has happened around here lately and the easiest way to catch you up will probably be by doing it bullet point style.

*We redid the floor in our kitchen!! Thank God for that because I couldn't stand that floor...it was gross & looked dirty even when it was clean and it was horrible to walk on. It literally hurt my feet because you could feel every little groove in between the tiles because they weren't grouted properly. Now it's perfect!

*I now only have 3 weeks left until Carson's big arrival & I have the diaper bag packed & a couple of things in my bag already!! That is if he doesn't decide to make his appearance early....which as much as there are some days when I'm sooo over being pregnant I really don't want him to come early...my mom is coming in from out of state for his birth and I will be super bummed if she misses it!

*We had Keegan's 4 year pictures done, along with a couple of family pictures and I'm kinda proud to say that I was able to squeeze myself into my non-maternity jeggings & a non-maternity sweater. When I asked Ryan if the jeggings looked ok he said "well their kinda tight" but I assured him that they are suppose to be like that {but between you and me, they were a little more snug than before}.

 *Keegan & Ryan carved one of the pumpkins....and Keegan was convinced that it was "the scariest pumpkin in town", his words not mine!

*I have 100% become addicted to pinterest. No joke, that site is like a drug or something, once you get started on it there is no turning back! It has gotten to the point where anytime I mention an idea or try a new recipe Ryan says "is that from pinterest?"!!

*Our basement was starting to smell, like really bad, and we couldn't quite figure out what it was from. After a day or two Ryan was able to narrow the smell down and figured out that is was coming from the dryer...weird right?! Well he did some investigating and found a dead mouse in the duct where all the hot air goes to the outside of the house!!!! Apparently it crawled in from the outside and obviously couldn't crawl back out. I have no words for how that made me feel, I still get grossed out just thinking about it and I didn't want to use the dryer for a couple of days after that happened!! He got it out and even removed part of the duct where the mouse was at, thank God!!

*A couple of days before Halloween we put up a Christmas tree in the basement!! Crazy? Um, yes but I figured why not, the next couple of weeks are kinda crazy looking and I won't be able to do it for a couple of weeks after Carson is born since I won't be able to go up & down the steps!! Keegan however loves it because it is "his & Carson's tree" and he even has a train going around the bottom of it {something that I won't let happen to our tree upstairs}. We got it really cheap last year after Christmas along with a bunch of ornaments and I let Keegan do all the decorating {something else that doesn't happen to the tree upstairs}.

I think that's about it, I'm sure there are some things that I wanted to add and completely forgot about but that's ok! And I'm going to try really hard to start blogging on a regular basis again!!

How far along: 36 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 30 pounds. I went to the dr. yesterday and didn't gain anything in the last 2 weeks!! I think that only happened because I can't eat as much as I was, nowhere for the food to go anymore!

Maternity clothes: only when in public, at home it's mainly the hubby's t-shirts with either leggins or sweats

Gender: BOY!! Carson Charles

Movement: I don't know what he is doing in there but it hurts like hell sometimes and my stomach usually looks all deformed depending on how he is positioned!

Sleep: nothing has changed in this department....it still sucks!

What I miss: not having heartburn, being able to move around/get up from the couch without moaning & groaning!

Symptoms: heartburn, acid reflux, shortness of breathe

Cravings: nothing in particular, just whatever sounds good or whatever I see on tv

Best moment(s) this week month: only gaining 1 pound, getting everything done & ready for him to come, Keegan actually feeling him move for the first time & Keegan yelling "boo" at my stomach when Carson had the hiccups!!
