name game

Now that we know the sweet little baby inside my belly is a little boy we need to find the perfect name for him!! One problem....there aren't very many boy names that we like! We had the girl names narrowed down but those of course won't work anymore so we were back at square one. So far we have narrowed it down to two different names.....Hayden and Hunter. I put up a new poll to see which one everyone else likes, not that the most popular one will "win" but just because I'm nosy like that!

Another problem, I'm not sure if I'm crazy in love with either name though and I keep going back and forth with which one I like better out of the two. Even though we still have 19ish weeks or less to figure it out I really don't want to wait until the day he is born to figure it out....guess that is the controlling/planner in me coming out because the sooner we can name him and stop calling him "the baby" the better! I have a feeling that one of those two names will be the final choice but I would love some other suggestions, you know just in case someone throws out a name that we haven't vetoed yet!

Weekend Wrap Up

I couldn't even tell you the last time I did a weekend wrap up, I'm usually too lazy to do one and figure that by Wednesday there is really no point in it but I have lots to share from this past weekend!!

I'm going to start off with Thursday:

As you all know, Thursday was my ultrasound appointment. After my appointment my mom & I decided to go shopping {well we decided to do that when she said she would be in town for the ultrasound} and use some coupons that I had been saving! Of course our plans were changed a little when we couldn't buy any pink stuff but I had to get something!! He definitely doesn't need any clothes considering that Keegan was born November 14 and this little boy will most likely be born in November some time but I couldn't pass up the awesome deal that Babie's R Us was having. They had a deal where you get one of those reusable totes and you get an extra 30% off any already clearance priced clothes that you put in it so I grabbed a couple of outfits but this is probably my favorite from the day...

Seriously, how cute is that?!?! And the matching shoes...adorable, I couldn't not get it!! I'm thinking this would be a super cute Easter outfit!!

Of course Grandma grabbed some things too, like these shirts for the boys...

Sooo cute!! I can't wait to get their picture with these on!! Grandma also said that she wanted to buy the bedding so we went home with a brand new bedding set too!!
We had neutral bedding with Keegan since we didn't know if he was a boy or girl until he was born so I'm pretty excited to actually decorate the room with real boy stuff!!

On Friday a bunch of us headed over to one of my aunt's house to go swimming for the afternoon since my mom and another one of my aunts were in town. Keegan had a blast swimming and playing with his cousins, especially Reed!! That night we headed down to Lisa's in Rocher for some fish and the food was awesome! I haven't eaten there in probably 5 or 6 years but I'm thinking we are going to have to go back there more often!!

Saturday was the big "family introduction" party. Don't know what I'm talking about?! I'll fill you in....you see my grandpa has had a girlfriend for quite some time now. Well one of her sons decided that he wanted to get everyone together so we could all meet....and when I say everyone I mean a ton of people!! My grandpa has 7 kids, 15 grankids, 1 great-grandkid plus all of the spouses and Betty {his girlfriend} has 6 kids, 16 grandkids, 2 great-grandkids plus all of the spouses!! I think with everyone it adds up to like 70 people....crazy!! It turned out that the party wasn't just an "introductory" party, it was also kind of a celebration. Last weekend my grandpa popped the question and Betty said yes....they are officially engaged!!

Are they not the cutest?!?!?! Soooo happy for both of them!! I think Betty will be a great addition to our family!!!

Back to the get-together.....it was a BBQ/swimming party and Keegan took full advantage of the swimming part!! I think he literally swam for 8 hours, no joke!! He did get out of the pool three times to eat and about 15 times to pee {I think he was swallowing too much water} but other than that he was in the pool nonstop!! He even got brave and went off the diving board!!

two thumbs up!!

He loved it!!! I couldn't even tell you how many times he went off that thing! I wish I would have remembered my camera so I could have gotten a lot more pictures but of course I forgot it at home! Besides the swimming there was a ton of awesome food & I think the two families got along really good!! Speaking of food, I made cake pops for the very first time ever!! They were super easy to do and I got lots of compliments on them {which I loved because I was super nervous about how they would turn out!}. I did use too much frosting but now I know not to next time!!

Sunday was kind of a lazy day...a much needed lazy day!! We were hanging around the house and Ryan kept asking what we were going to do for lunch so I threw out the idea of going to Wal-Mart then we could stop at Taco Bell for lunch!! After seeing that they have their burrito supreme for only 99 cents I was craving one big time!! While at Wal-Mart we picked out the paint for the baby's room!! I got bittersweet chocolate & sweet baby boy {a light blue}...they look amazing with the bedding!! The goal is to have brown & blue stripes, blue on the top and a chair rail in the middle....hopefully that will be the final look!! Sunday night we headed over to my grandpa's to put a dent into all of the leftover food from the day before.

Keegan loved playing with Grandma Connie, Uncle Conner and all of his cousins this weekend!! I don't know what he is going to do this week since Grandma is gone now though, he pretty much lived with her while she was in town!!

oh baby....

You see that poll over there on the left?! The one where people voted if they thought the baby was a boy or a girl. Well it turns out that the majority of the people thought that I was having a little girl and the majority of the people were.......wrong!!!

It's a BOY!!!

And there was no mistake, it is definitely all boy!!

We are very excited but I'm not going to lie, I'm still kinda in shock!! I never in a million years thought that I would be a mommy of two little boys but God knows best I guess! Plus, the ring test came out as girl so that's what we both had in our minds the whole time but as I told my mom this just means that I was meant to be a princess since I will be the only girl in the house!

Keegan however was not so excited at first! He had his heart set on a little girl that's for sure! He was so excited throughout the entire ultrasound and once she said "boy" he immediately turned his head around and his lip went out! He was pissed! He wouldn't talk to anyone and he even had big 'ol crocodile tears in his eyes....he came around the the idea of having a brother though was he was told that he can wrestle with him and teach him how to pee outside and that girls can't do that! He is pretty excited now but he wants to name his brother Goofy and well that just isn't going to happen!!

The baby looks great and already weighs 12 ounces! I will be having another ultrasound in 4 weeks though because one of the kidneys was a tad bit bigger than the other one so they want to watch that and make sure that it doesn't continue to grow bigger. Other than that everything is going pretty smoothly and moving right along. The doctor did say that I was measuring at 21 weeks and I'm really only going to be 20 tomorrow but when I told him how big Keegan was when he was born he said "Oh, you just make them big then don't you?!" So it looks like this will be another big boy! Now we just have to agree on a name, which just might take the rest of the pregnancy to do!! So if you have any ideas/suggestions please feel free to share them!

Confession Friday

Umm...I don't even remember the last time I did one of these but don't think that will make the confessions any better!! Actually, I don't know how good the confessions will be until I can find something to come up with....plus it might be a little short, posting from my phone again!

I confess that a good night of sleep now consist of only waking up 3 times in the middle of the night...guess I better get used to it!!

I confess that Keegan had a zebra cake and kool-aid for breakfast this morning {and that defintiely wasn't the first time this week}....well, he did end up eating yogurt & a pancake with sausage too.

I confess that I'm debating going grocery shopping today just for the feact that I could reaaly go for one of those new chicken sandwiches from Hardees....

I confess that I've almost bought some stuff for the baby because I think I know what it is but I decided not to just in case I'm wrong!

I confess that I've wanted Olive Garden pretty much since I got pregnant but Ryan won't go with me....who wants to go?! If I don't get some of those breadsticks & that salad soon I might go crazy!!

I confess that I drink waaaayyy too much soda but I can't help it...plus I keep telling myself that I drank a TON of Mt. Dew when I was preggo with Keegan & he turned out just fine.

Ok...I'm done for today, gotta go get ready to go get some Hardees, I mean go grocery shopping! :)

search words

I was taking a look around blogger recently {because I didn't have anything better to do} and decided to check out the stats just for the hell of it & because I don't really look at it that much. Don't know what the "stats" are?! I'll tell ya....you can basically see what is going on with your blog as far as what websites are "referring" people to your blog, where people are looking at your blog from, how many times a specific post has been looked at, what search words people have used to and have found your blog, so on and so on. Well I was taking a look at the "search words" part of the stats because well, sometimes it's kinda funny to see what causes your blog to pop up. The funniest one that I saw was "pflueger pickles"....not sure I've ever heard of pflueger pickles before.

Then there was a search that really caught my eye and when I read it I'm pretty sure that I made my "what the hell" face...the one where my jaw drops, my nose scrunches up and my eyebrows do some sort of wierd thing. Wondering what phrase was searched?! It was "pfleuger douchebag family". Normally I probably wouldn't say anything but I'm thinking that these pregnancy hormones are taking full charge here because I do have something to say {I will keep it mild though}....

First off, if you were looking for a different Pflueger family and came across this, sorry for ruining your search!

Second, if whoever searched those words and totally meant to find my family....SCREW YOU and stay away from my blog!! If you really believe that we are douchebags than you have no reason whatsoever to need/want to know what is going on with us. And one more thing...at least spell our name right next time!! Thanks so much!!

On a lighter note, what's the funniest thing that people have searched for that caused your blog to pop up?!

o.co

Watch out, two posts in one day!! You can go ahead and call me an over achiever!

I have a feeling that I am probably way behind on this but I recently discovered the awesomeness that is contained in a little website called Overstock.com!  Seriously, it is amazing...they have pretty much every single thing you could want in one place! I've heard of people buying things from there before but didn't put much thought into until the other night when I was searching for baby bedding. I know, I know, we don't even know what we are having yet, why in the world am I already looking?! Simple answer...I am very indecisive and would like to have some sort of idea of what I like so when we do find out I already have some things picked out. Well, it just so happens that o.co has one of my favorite bedding sets and it's cheaper on there than anywhere else that I have found it!! Score!!

Of course I had to look around at other things to while I was on the site and I came across this...

That would be an 8x10 area rug that would be absolutely perfect for our dining room!! We have a rug under our table now that the previous owners left but the only problem with it is that it looks like an 80 year old woman should own it...and well in case you haven't noticed, I'm no where near being 80! I've been looking for a new rug this size since we moved in and I haven't been able to find anything that I absolutely love and is reasonably priced. Have you ever looked for a rug this size?! If not, let me tell you, they are not cheap...I'm talking at least $300 a pop!! Well thanks to my new bff {overstock of course} this rug is only $188!!! With a price like that, I can pretty much promise you that this rug will find a new home under our dining room table sooner rather than later!! Oh, another nice thing about this site, only $2.95 for shipping on any order!! Ahhh....I love o.co!!!

Are you friends with Overstock?! If not, head on over and check them out!!

trying something new...

Well hello there, so I'm posting this from my phone today but its not quite working as well as i would hope, it's kind of annoying but oh well at least I can get something posted!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I added a little poll over there on the left to see what everyone thinks what the sex of baby Pflueger is! We will know for sure next Thursday & I can't freakin wait!! I have lots of coupons that are waiting to be used on some new baby stuff & siince mymom will be at the ultrasound I'm sure we will have a pretty good shopping spree afterwards!! I have a feeling of what it is but of course I keep going back and forth between boy and girl. Keegan is still pretty positive that it is a girl...he has a name picked out already (Makenna) and says we have to paint the room pink and purple because those are girl colors!
