Confession Friday

Can I just say that I'm super excited that today is Friday!! I've had my days all mixed up this week and have even thought it was Friday for a couple of days now!!

I confess that every day that I take Keegan to daycare I get McDonald's for breakfast...it's only two days a week....but lately I've been getting a large caramel frappe!! I couldn't help myself, they have a giant picture of it on the front window and it makes my mouth water just looking at it!!

I confess that I still have two loads of clean laundry that I need to fold and put away....both of which contain clothes that I need to pack before tomorrow and my house is an absolute disaster that desperately needs to be cleaned before we leave....but I'm enjoying sitting on the computer much more!!

I confess that the dress I'm wearing today makes me look like a house but it's so comfortable I don't care! Plus I'm tired of wearing pants/shorts with huge elastic bands!!

I confess that I sent Ryan a hate text the other day for taking the leftovers that I desperately wanted to eat for lunch....what can I say, I went a day without eating and that was the only thing I wanted!! However, being the awesome hubby that he is, he didn't eat it and brought it back home for me!! {and just between you & me, it wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be}

I confess that I bought this book to read on the airplane....

I've heard it was hilarious & I can't wait to read it!!

I confess that the only thing I can think about right now is wanting to go to Tequila's for lunch....

I confess that when I was running errands yesterday to get a couple last minute things for our trip, I looked for a new maxi dress at every single store we went to but I didn't find any. WTH?! Those things use to be everywhere...and since when did Old Navy not have any in the stores anymore?!?!

I confess that we will be walking machines for three days straight and I'm not even planning on taking my tennis shoes....my trusty flip fops will get me through it!

I confess that I'm starting to wonder/worry about how Keegan is going to be when the new baby comes.

I confess that I desperately need to go bra shopping but I really don't want to....I'm going to have to go through the whole getting measured thing and then I will get frustrated about what size I'm going to need!

I confess that Ryan totally made my day when we were shopping last weekend when he said "do you really need a large?"....guys truly are clueless aren't they?! My only response was "have you seen my boobs lately, I'll be lucky if they fit in the large!"

I confess that I'm really, really, really bummed about not being able to ride all of the cool rides at Disneyland....guess we will just have to go back in a couple of years! :)

2. my husband for finally getting plaid shorts!! I completely gave up on the idea until he decided he would try them out!!

 

3. my new haircut &  the awesome girl that cuts my hair for knowing exactly what I wanted without even really telling her

 

4. only two more wake ups until we fly out of town

 

5. maternity sweats....they might never leave my body

 

6. Target for also selling bags of chewy jolly ranchers in their $1 section

 

7. my dr. for giving me a prescription of zofran so I don't have to worry about puking my guts up while getting my picture taken with Mickey Mouse

 

8. space saver travel bags...I wasn't going to use them on this trip but after just thinking about all of the different outfit options I plan on taking I'm going to need them!

 

9. getting to eat the best NY style pizza at Grimaldi's while in AZ {you know, the famous place under the Brooklyn Bridge...well they have a place really close to my mom's house & I already requested that we eat there!}

 

10. my brilliant son for knowing how to add now and wanting to keep doing it like it is a game {he definitely gets his brain from me!!}

New Obsession

In case you didn't already know, I become easily obsessed when I find something new that I like and my "new find" is no exception. Now while this is nothing new to other people it is completely new to me....

Yep, maxi dresses!! I've always wanted to wear them before but they definitely did nothing to my figure and didn't look the least bit good on me. Well, when we were shopping on Sunday {solely to get Ryan some new clothes} and I saw this thing I just knew I had to have it. I figured with the stretchy material and my ever growing bump it would be a perfect option for the summer. Of course I didn't try it on at the store, that's just how I do it, so Ryan automatically figured that I would put it on as soon as we got home and would hate it....boy was he wrong!! I completely fell in love!! It is soooo comfortable and I will totally be able to wear it all summer....and I didn't feel like a cow in it!! Needless to say....this will probably be my go to look this summer and now I want to go shopping to get some more!!

I'm Meagan and I'm a horrible blogger!!

Did you totally forget who I am or that this blog even existed?! I totally wouldn't blame you if you did....it's been for.ev.er. since I've posted. I would like to tell you that I have been super busy and haven't had the time to but that would be a total lie. Honestly, I just haven't felt like it, well that and I've been having problems with getting on the Internet and there were times I wanted to throw the computer across the room so I said screw it! However, I was totally going to do confession Friday last week until the whole blogger not working thing!

Let me catch you up on what's been going on around here....

Last week we had some fun watching these little guys hanging around the back yard

There were actually three baby birds in there but you can obviously only see one in this picture. The coolest thing about it was watching the mommy bird feeding them and then actually watching the babies fly out of the nest. Not sure who was more excited about it though...me or Keegan. We have another nest in the front of the house but the mommy bird has been in there every time I look so I haven't seen any babies yet.

Keegan got something really cool in the mail!!



Yes, you read that right....he got a letter from Mickey Mouse!!! You see when we first started talking about going to Disneyland {just after Christmas} Keegan was constantly asking if it was time to go yet and would even pack his suit case so I had to think of something to get him to stop asking! I told him that Mickey was at Santa's house in the North Pole and we couldn't go to Disneyland until he got back and that he would write a letter when he was back home! I have to say, it was one of the most brilliant ideas that I have ever had and it totally worked! AND Mickey even sent him some shirts to take with us....

That Mickey sure is a nice guy! ;) He was smiling ear to ear when I was opening the package...and yes I took pictures but I still can't get my pictures to download off of my camera!! I can't wait to see Keegan's face when we get to Disneyland!!

Everything with the pregnancy is going good. The rubber band has officially been retired and I am officially in maternity pants. Which is ca.raz.y because when I was preggo with Keegan I wore regular shorts with a rubber band all summer long and even wore regular jeans to my baby shower when I was 7 months....and I wasn't small by any means!! I am starting to think that this baby hates me and is out to get some sort of revenge though...seriously!! One day I'm fine, the next day I wake up and am puking my guts out and this weird gagging thing that I have going on is driving me insane. And I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the size of a whale come November because I am always hungry!! However after last night I'm pretty sure I won't be getting chocolate lava cake ever again...well at least not for a long time!! =/

Yes, I'm well aware that the above picture looks like complete crap....nothing I can do about it, it doesn't help that it is a picture of a picture either! Anyways, the head is on the left and the butt is on the right!

It was soooo good to finally get to see the little peanut and see the heart beating away!! Especially since I had a dream last night that when I was getting my ultrasound there was nothing to be found, no baby, no heartbeat, nothing....so it was very reassuring to see it this morning!! The baby was wiggling the whole time and you could even see the little arm buds wailing back and forth!! Ahhh....so nice to see!! The heart beat was 167 or 176, is it bad that I can't remember already?!?! I'm pretty sure that it was 167 though.

Everything looked great and I go back in a month! I was also told that we will be setting the date for my c-section around 28 weeks, I kinda like that we will know the exact day that this baby will be making it's appearance in the world!:)

Oh, and here is a bump pic...

Yep, not quite 10 weeks yet and it's already a good size "bump"!! I'm kinda scared to see how big I am going to get this time around!!

Complete Randomness

I went to Target yesterday for the first time in like a month and I definitely made up for the lost time when it came to spending money there...I was pretty sure the hubs was going to kill me when he found out how much I actually spent!! Now that I think about it....I don't think I've ever spent that much at one time there before!!

Keegan slept a little later than normal this morning and when he did wake up & I told him it was time to go to school he started crying....so he didn't go, he's going to go tomorrow instead.

We are having cinnamon rolls for breakfast and I'm pretty excited about it!

Conversation I just had with Keegan....

Keegan "mommy is it ready yet?" {for the 8293847 time}

Me "no, quite asking"

Keegan "no way, I don't want to"

First doctor appointment/ultrasound is on Friday....soooo ready to see this little baby and hear it's heart beat!! Not so excited to see how much weight I've gained already...it's got to be a decent number considering none of my pants fit anymore!

After trying and trying and trying to get our printer hooked up to the new computer and it not working, I just bought a new one. Now I can't get my pictures to download from my camera....hmmm new camera in the future?!?!

Today was the first day that I woke up and didn't feel like going right back to sleep or puking my guts up....it was nice!! I have high hopes of getting lots of laundry and house cleaning done today with all this energy I have!!

Countdown to our AZ/Disneyland trip has started....however Keegan still thinks that Mickey is at Santa's house!! Don't worry, I have a little something up my sleeve to let him know that Mickey is back at his house!

Speaking of our AZ trip, I'm already thinking about some places where I want to eat when we are there!! Top of the list: Grimaldi's...yes like the famous one in Brooklyn, there is one very close to my mom's house too & I'm sooo ready for some classic NY style pizza!!

I have used half of a container of tang since Monday...by myself. Just wish I had some lemonade to mix with it!! Have you ever tried that?! It is simply a.maz.ing. seriously, try it!! My grandma is the person who first introduced me to the concoction & every time I drink it, it reminds me of her!!
