Confession Friday

Do you remember the last time I poured my heart out to you via confession Friday? Yeah, me either but guess what...I'm going to today. Don't get too excited, not sure how great these confessions are going to be but I'll try to make 'em good!

I confess that I was checking out my "stats" for the blog and one of the search phrases that brought someone to this little 'ole blog was "crazy pregnant lady". O.M.G. I almost peed myself when I read that! Hilarious!

I confess that I am totally the mom that lets her kids play with inappropriate things. For instance, in Carson's almost 5 months of being around he has already played with plastic bags, sale ads, napkins and most recently french fries. The plastic bag was obviously his favorite!

And yes, I let him eat the paper too but no, I don't let him actually swallow it. Geeze, what kind of mom do you think I am?

I confess that for the last couple of days I have been really crampy {is that even a real word} & bloated but I couldn't figure out why. Then, all of a sudden the light bulb clicked....I'm going to be getting my period. It has been so long since I've had it that I totally forgot everything that comes along with it and I'm just going to add that I didn't miss any of it.

I confess that I now have an instagram account. I mean, did I really need it, no but why not add one more thing to become addicted huh? {username is mpflueger09....just in case you wanted to follow}

I confess that the following convo actually took place between Ryan & I after he saw that I bought a new "tummy sucker" {aka spanx}:
R: what is that?
M: it's to suck all of my fat in
R: you don't need that, you lost all of your fat already
M: no, I really do need it. I could lift my shirt up and jiggle it all for you but that's not sexy
R: could you do it anyway?
And in case you were wondering, no I did not jiggle my fat for him because it is in fact not sexy!

I confess that I got some Jergens Natural Glow lotion so I could get some color on my pasty self before having to wear a dress this weekend. I also bought the one for "medium to dark" complexion instead of the "fair to medium" one that I really should have gotten and I might have said a little prayer to the self tanning Gods that I would not regret this decision as I put it in my cart. So far they have answered my prayer.

I confess that I took the boys to one of those picture places in the mall because I got an awesome deal through Groupon but while I was there I had this horribly feeling like I was cheating on the photographer that I usually use and the only thing I could think of was "I hope she doesn't find out about this". However, I ended up with this caaaaauuuttteee picture of the boys.

I confess that after reading Erin's blog about buying this super cute one shoulder, striped dress, I knew that I had to have it. So I went the very next day to buy it. No joke, literally the very next day I was at Kohl's, 30% off coupon in hand, with that exact dress in my hands. Yes, I am a complete copy cat.

I confess that after I got home with the dress mentioned above I realized that I don't really have any shoes to go with it. Don't you worry though, thanks to Payless having their bogo sale, momma's gonna have some cute wedges in the very near future to wear with it. The problem is this, I don't know what color to get.

Red

or

Or maybe both?!

Happy Friday!!

I Couldn't Breathe

So, as you all know yesterday was our anniversary and I mentioned something about wanting to strangle my wonderful husband's neck on our wedding day and since one person asked why I thought I would just let everyone in on what happened. Just in case you don't know the story.

The short version of the story is this: somewhere in between the ceremony & reception {on the bus & at the bar} there was a lot of alcohol consumed. All kinds of alcohol {lots of wild turkey to be exact}. The alcohol consumption continued at the reception. At around 8:30 my new husband was out in the parking lot, puking his guts up {multiple times from what I hear, I refused to go see him} and then he proceeded to pass out, in the back of a truck {not sure who's truck it was}. I didn't see him again until the next morning. Why didn't I see him until the next morning, well that is because I never went outside to see him after he passed out {mainly because nothing good would have come form it} and he went home with is parents on our wedding night while I went home, by myself.

Not going to lie, it was rough for a while after the wedding. Some people even thought that I was going to divorce him and his own sister said that I should get an annulment. I can completely laugh about it now and I like giving him a hard time about it sometimes too! Man is he lucky I love him!

Last night to celebrate our anniversary we went out to eat since my mom is in town and she offered to babysit. And boy do we know how to be romantic....we ended up at Buffalo Wild Wings! Nothing screams romance like a sports/hot wings place. Which by the way was my idea, they have the best fried mushrooms and I was craving them big time!

We had a couple of these

bud light for him, twisted margarita for me

Ryan stuffed his face with this

That would be two hamburger patties stuffed with a piece of steak & some onion rings with some kind of honey bbq sauce all over it....it was right up his ally. I however stuck with the grilled chicken wrap with some spicy garlic sauce & of course the fried garlic mushrooms with some kind of southwest ranch, which was ah.maz.ing. Highly recommend it!

After we got home for the night, I dragged my wedding dress out. I was determined to try it on, whether is was 10:30 pm or not!

The verdict of the dress....it zipped up!! It was snug, I couldn't really breathe very well but it zipped!

It definitely didn't help that I had two margs, fried mushrooms and a chicken wrap before I trying it on but it did feel good knowing that it zipped. Hopefully the next time I decide to try it on I will be able to breathe a little easier with it on!!

Three Years

Three years ago today I became a Mrs.

Although there are times that I want to strangle that man like no other {especially the very day we got hitched, just ask anyone who was there}, I wouldn't trade the last 3 years for anything!

Happy Anniversary to my main man! xoxo

For some reason, I got the wild idea that I want to try my dress on today, you know to either make myself feel like a fat cow for not fitting into it or to give myself a total confidence boost for being able to zip it all the way up. I'll let you know how it goes! :)

Step 1: Pin

Will someone please tell me that I am not the only person alive that pins all kinds of stuff on Pinterest and then doesn't do anything with it after I pin it?!

Actually, I do try quite a few of the things I pin but mostly just recipes and to be perfectly honest with you, not all of them have been the greatest. Which makes me wonder why I even think they sound good in the first place.

One of the most recent recipes that I tried was this...

Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes
I was really excited about trying this one. Hello, it has a cheese sauce to go with it! Who doesn't love a good cheese sauce?! Despite my excitement, it was a major fail. I don't know why but it just didn't taste good and  it was kinda lacking flavor all together....yes, even with the cheese on top of it! I had it for leftovers the next day and it was just as bad then, actually probably worst because the cheese sauce did not melt very good & was kinda gross. But by all means, if you think you will like it feel free to try it out!

Remember these shoes? Well they are super cute and super comfy but they were pretty snug in the toe area. What new shoes aren't right? Well I'm going to be wearing those bad boys to a wedding, which means I will be wearing them all.day.long. and I knew that I had to stretch them out somehow if my feet were going to survive. So I searched it on Pinterest and came across this....

Via
You have no idea how freakin excited I was when I saw this, seriously, so excited!  I tried the ice method and it worked! I will probably do this to every new pair of shoes that I get that need a little stretching out. I know you have a pair that need to be stretched out to, go do this to them pronto, I promise you will thank me afterwards!

So far, this is by far my all time favorite thing that I have tried from Pinterest.

Strawberry cupcakes made with Diet 7UP!! Seriously, these things were ah.maz.ing and since the soda is diet, not a lot of calories either! It is oh so easy to do, all you need is a box of cake mix and 12 ounces of diet 7UP, mix together and bake the cupcakes! I have only tried it with the strawberry flavored cake mix but I'm dying to try it with the funfetti kind...because even though I'm 27, that is still my favorite kind of cake.

Now go make yourself some cupcakes made with 7UP while you are waiting for your shoes to get stretched out!!

Here lies the emergency...I have no idea what jewelry to wear!! For some reason I just can't figure it out and I need help! What color would look good?

Did you see the pigs flying?!

This past weekend was a good one. Why was it so great you ask, well I got lots of "me" time in. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with my boys but I also love spending time away from my boys. I didn't do anything too exciting but it was just enough to make this momma happy.

Saturday afternoon I headed to the movies with Jenny. Oh, you want to know what movie we saw? The Hunger Games of course!! Yep, I read the entire book, cover to cover last Thursday. so.freakin.good. I can't wait to start reading the second book but I'm not sure when I'm actually going to start reading it, I'm thinking I need to plan accordingly just in case I decide to read it all in one day again. The movie was good...there were a couple things that they changed from the book that I wish they would have kept the same but all in all I think they did a good job. Highly recommend it! Then we headed to Olive Garden where I proceeded to eat more calories in one meal that I usually eat in one day but it was ah.maz.ing.

On Sunday I decided to head out to return a couple of things and to drop off a ton of crap to Good Will. I was on a mission for two things that day. One, to find a swimming suit. Two, to find out what size bra I actually need & buy a good one.

I've been on the search for a swimming suit since probably February, you know when all of the stores decide to put them out even though it is still winter out. I thought that I found the perfect one at Kohl's but Ryan didn't like it and well, there wasn't much support for the girls. Oh how I love having big boobs. I have bought several of them recently but between trying to hide my leftover baby belly & my big boobs nothing fit right. I was determined to find one though and I'm pretty sure that there were some pigs flying in the sky yesterday because I found the perfect one!

via
It has the halter top, which fyi for all you girls blessed on top is the best kind of suit for support, the rouching on the side and my favorite part, it is just a tad longer in the front than in the back, which is perfect for hiding that extra little pouch that is oh so hard to hide....expect for in this, it practically disappears!! And the best part of it all...I got a size that I have never bought for a swimming suit top before, ever! Seriously, in love with this suit!
via
I got these bottoms to go with it to mix it up a bit. It feels very nautical to me, which I'm loving right now.

I headed to VS next to find out what size bra I really needed. I'm no longer breastfeeding and since I stopped the girls have actually gotten smaller, for the first time ever {not that they are small are anything now} but out of the bras that I had at home none of them fit properly. I got measured tried some on and found the perfect one. I have to add that the girls working at VS are way more helpful than they ever use to be. I think they have changed they way the do things there but I was very impressed with all of the help that I got. Heather is letting me have her $10 off coupon so I think I'm going to head back and get another one....maybe a push up this time?! Every woman needs a good push up bra right?!

Jumping On the Bandwagon

I was walking around the store today and decided that it would be nice if I had a new book to read. So, I walked through the book section looking for something that looked interesting or one from my favorite author. That's when I came across this...

I stood there thinking whether I should get it or not. I mean there is all kinds of talk that it is crazy good and that I wouldn't be able to put it down once I started reading it.

Then I saw the price....

and even though I always that I wouldn't do it, I bought it! I mean hello, that's super cheap for a book {at least in my opinion it is}. Plus, I've seen a million previews for the movie & it looks like a really good movie....and I really want to see it but I feel like I need to read the book first.

I hope that I'm not disappointed and everyone that has said that it is good is right!!

Easter 2012

What a difference a year makes! Last year was when we announced this...

and this Easter our pictures looked like this....

Seriously.....could they get any cuter?!?! And Carson, please slow down, you are getting way too big way too fast!

Sunday morning the kids slept in {thanks to not getting to bed until 11:30} and I'm pretty sure that Keegan forgot that it was Easter! He went straight to the living room to watch cartoons when he got up and we had to persuade him to go into the kitchen so he could see what the Easter Bunny brought.

I'll tell you what, the Easter Bunny was pretty smart this year! Brought all kinds of things that the boys will need for the summer....sunscreen, swimming trunks & diapers for Carson, pool toys, a kite, goggles, sunglasses and of course tons of candy.

I couldn't believe how good he was sitting all by himself in the grass!!

Still needs help standing though!

These would have turned out super cute if Carson was actually looking at the camera...oh well, at least they are both in the picture! And of course, the one request I had for the day never happened....a new family pic. I probably took a couple hundred pictures that day and not a one of them has all four of us in it....actually now that I think about it, I'm not in a single one of them either. Ryan really needs to start taking the camera more often!!

A Little Bit of Everything

I totally meant to do Confession Friday last week but I was gone pretty much all day and never had time to actually sit down and do it. One of these days I will get back to confessing my heart out to you guys! In the meantime I will fill you in on some randoms that have been happening around here lately.

I'm planning on having a yard sale to get rid of some of the crap stuff we have laying around taking up much needed space and while going through some things I found some toe rings...remember when everyone use to wear those things all.the.time?! I couldn't even tell you the last time I wore one but I was pretty excited about it so I put it on but I can't decide if it is still "cool" to wear or not.

Ignore the crappy outgrown pedi....so yay or nay on the toe ring?! I still have it on & still can't decide if I'm going to actually wear it all summer or not.

Carson is 4 months old now!! I know, I know...he is already 4 months old and I've only posted one picture of him on here, no need to fear though, I've got lots of pictures to catch you up on! Here is the chunky monkey at his 4 month well visit....

Seriously, what happened to my little newborn baby?!?!

While doing the 30 day shred one day Keegan decided that he wanted to do it with me! At first he was using some of his cars as his "weights" but decided that he wanted some like me so he came back with these....

Whatever works! I just wish I would have gotten him on video of trying to do everything! It was hilarious!!

We are starting to introduce solids to Carson....

Carrots were a hit but the peas....he actually cried, with real tears after I asked him if he wanted more after I gave him a couple of bites! Guess we will try those again some other time.

I made another wreath for the front door. It is similar to the one I made last fall but this time I used patterned fabric and instead of a foam "wreath" I used a flat metal one...which was much easier to work with. And the fabric, I kinda cheated with that, I bought a pack that was pre-cut that I found at Wal-Mart. I did end up cutting them some more but it was definitely better than all the cutting I did last time.

I went with a black/yellow/gray/white theme because I'm pretty much obsessed with those colors right now and I figured the yellow would be a good spring/summer color. I had a couple of strips of fabric leftover so I used one to hang the P in the middle.

I have officially gotten my first tan lines of the year. Yes, it is only April 1st and I already have tan lines just from being outside washing the car! This blows my mind for a couple of reasons, 1. it's only April 1st and we are having summer like weather and 2. I never get color this easy! I'm thinking I might be spending some more time outside if I'm going to "tan" this easy!!

And just in case anyone was wondering, no I did not win the mega millions
