Keegan's 3 Year Pictures

After two months I finally got Keegan's pictures back....and it was worth the wait, I absolutely LOVE Kara with Bright Shot Photography!! Oh Em Gee!!

I am soooo far behind on not only posting but reading all of the blogs that I LOVE reading every single day!! You see, this is my first day back to work since last week. {I only blog at work because, well honestly we don't have the internet at home, GASP!! I know...I don't like it but I deal with it!} And in case you were wondering, no I wasn't on vacation....I got an extra little Christmas present from someone in the form of pink eye!

I'm going to show you all what I looked like but only look at my eyes and don't pay any attention to me looking like a hot mess! :)

That is how I woke up Monday morning...well after I was able to open my eye, when I first woke up I couldn't even open it because it was so full of gunk!

Anyways, since I haven't been to work all week until now I'm going to be crazy busy getting all of the end of the year stuff done within two days...I'm going to have so much fun!! Hopefully I will be able to sneak on a couple times and try to catch up on everything and get some more posts up!

Let's pretend today is Friday....

and make some confessions!!! That sounds like fun doesn't it?!?!

I confess that even though I'm totally jealous of all the people that are off work today I found a reason to not be jealous....the drive thru at McDonald's this morning was pretty much empty!! You know what that means right....I didn't really have to wait for my caramel mocha, I got it in no time! And the whole no traffic thing was nice too!

I confess that I'm pretty much addicted to buying clothes for Keegan. No, seriously, it's really bad and I'm kinda scared to see what it would be like if we ever have a little girl because I know I will be even worse then! The boy has sooo many clothes that sometimes he wears things only once and sometimes he doesn't even wear some of the stuff in his closet! I once went a whole month without doing his laundry and he still had enough clean clothes to last another week or two!

To go along with the previous confession, I confess that I already bought Keegan Valentine's and  St. Patrick's Day shirts! I only paid $3.99 for them so of course I was going to get them....if I didn't get them now I would have waited until the last minute then I wouldn't of been able to find anything.

I confess that I have about 2 months worth of stuff the file and put away at work! I just keep stuffing it all into a file folder and hiding it away {out of my boss' sight of course because he would freak out if he knew about it} instead of filing it all. However, I plan on getting it all done today seeing as my boss is on vacation and he won't see me doing it! :)

I confess that I have bought lots of different kinds of throw pillows to use on the couches in the basement and each one has been returned...except the ones still sitting my car that I keep forgetting about. I just can't find the right color to go with the green. {if we would have gotten red couches I wouldn't be having this issue!}

I confess that I watch the video of Keegan singing twinkle, twinkle little star multiple times throughout the day and I crack up every single time I watch it...it's just too funny! So...I'm going to post it again, just in case you didn't see it the first time I posted it on here! :)

Surprise!!!

Last night when I got home I was doing stuff around the house {I probably should have been making supper but I didn't feel like it}. When Ryan got home I was going through all of my coupons and making my list of what I need to get from the store on my way home tonight. Since today is trash day for us, Ryan started emptying all of the trash cans and since we have a ton of stuff downstairs {he started ripping out the paneling in the toy room area in the basement} he went down there to get it all.

Just an average night nothing too out of the ordinary, that is until Ryan yelled up the stairs....

Ryan: "where did these bar stools come from?"

Me: "what are you talking about?"

Ryan: "the bar stools that are down here"

Me: "shut-up, there aren't any bar stools down there" {he always does stuff like that to see what my reaction will be to things}

Ryan: "yes there is, come look"

I got up, started walking down the steps and saw this....

What the....?!?! I couldn't believe it!! Ryan was actually telling the truth, there were bar stools down there!! Which by the way weren't down there in the morning because I went down there to get a shirt to wear!

Yep....they were for us!

These are the exact stools that I really, really wanted from Target!! Something funny about these stools....I went on Target's website the other day to admire them and they were gone...like not available anymore!! Well they had them in the shorter size and they weren't on sale anymore, they were $20 more than before!! I was soooo bummed about it and started my search for the perfect stools again......but now I don't have to search anymore!!  Knowing that the stools are no longer available made the surprise even better!!

The bar area looks so much better now! {just ignore all of the crap sitting on top and behind the bar!}

I want to say a big, big THANK YOU to my mom and to Ryan's parents for getting us these stools!!

Apparently my mom ordered them and had them shipped to Ryan's parent's house and his dad put them together for us...it was such a nice surprise and really the only thing we wanted for Christmas! And just so you know, they didn't break into our house, Ryan's dad has a key & a garage door opener in case they ever need to get in the house.

The Sing Off

I might be a little bias but the groups on the show "The Sing Off" don't have anything compared to the talent that this little boy has....

I wouldn't be surprised if we get some record deals thrown our way after a perfomance like that!!

And not only does he have the voice, he's got some pretty sweet moves too...

Did you see that arm cross thing at the end....apparently deep down there is a little thug in him too!! Which by the way is great because that will open up a whole new bag of opportunities for him!! LOL

Are You on Vacation?!

So this morning on my way to work the gas light came on in my car, no big deal, I had plenty of time to stop and get some gas and since Waterloo gas prices are the same as South County right now I was just going to fill 'er up.

That was until I swiped my card and the said "See Cashier". What the hell? So I tried it again...same thing. This time I decided to try it as a debit instead of credit....nope "See Cashier". I went inside and told her what happened and she said "well you have to hit the payment type first then swipe". I'm not sure what kind of look I gave her but in my mind I was thinking "um, actually no you don't because I always swipe the card first and it works just fine!".

Whatever, I told her that I would just prepay since I was already in there and to just do $10. {with wasting all this time I didn't have time to sit and wait for the whole freakin' thing to fill up}. She swiped it....declined! WHAT THE HELL!! {and I actually said that out loud!} I literally just used the card yesterday and I know that there is PLENTY of money in there, especially for just $10 worth of gas.

Whatever, go outside and use my actual credit card and get $10 worth of gas. Now on my to do list for today is to call the bank and figure out what is wrong. Well I didn't have time to call the bank because they called me first! My phone rings, it's a 282 number {which is obviously Red Bud} but I didn't recognize it, I went ahead and answered it though....

Me: hello

Bank: hi this is so&so from the bank. I was wondering if you are by chance on vacation?

Me: um, no

Bank: well we have some charges that have taken place in Florida.

Me: well that's great!

Bank: {she kind of chuckled} there is a $258.27 charge at a Wal-Mart in Florida.

Me: um ya, that wasn't us!

Then she goes on to say that there was an actual card used, which means that the jackass swiped my information and then made a duplicate card to use!!! Isn't that lovely, Merry Christmas to us!

Thankfully we bank at a small, local bank and they were able to catch this right away and realize that a purchase made in Florida didn't seem right. My current card is being cancelled, a fraud report is going to go out and they will refund us our money once the transaction is actually posted to our account {basically the money will be taken out and then they are going to put it right back in}. She also said that Wal-Mart won't do anything about it since there was an actual card that was used so we wouldn't be able to prove it was fraud....Wal-Mart you suck!

Too Good Not To Share!

Not too long ago one of my cousins sent me an e-mail with a link to an amazing website. {amazing if you love a good deal} She originally sent me the link because she saw some good deals for some Thomas toys {and everyone knows how obsessed Keegan is with Thomas, well trains in general} so she wanted to make sure I saw it! {BTW....thanks Nicole!!}

Basically, this lady {aka Carrie, who just so happens to be from the St. Louis area} posts about all of the amazing deals that are currently going on pretty much everywhere. Every week she posts the weekly ads for stores like Target, Schnucks, and Walgreens {which she refers to as WAGS}. She basically does all of the dirty work for you and even tells you where to go to get coupons!! She also posts a lot of good deals from Amazon.

This website came in handy when I found out that I was in charge of getting Keegan's Christmas present that would be from my grandpa. I really had no idea what I was going to get for him, I mean I already gave all of my ideas to Santa! Then I saw this deal from Amazon posted on the site...

I'm not going to lie, at first I didn't think about it because Keegan seriously has SO much Thomas stuff already it's a little crazy but then I saw the price....$14.99 plus free shipping, regular price $49.99!! Umm....SOLD!! I ordered it immediately! {btw...I LOVE Amazon, a couple of days later I got another awesome deal on another toy, I paid $12.99 and it's originally $42.99!!!}

And also thanks to Carrie, I got a great deal on this game from Amazon too...

I ended up paying $9.99 for this game {again free shipping} and it is originally $29.99. Thankfully I saw the post for this deal when I did because the next day the price went up to $24.99. Which brings me to something else, she is really good about updating posts whenever a price changes or if the deal isn't good anymore.

And I have to add that this lady amazes me! She always shares whenever she gets good deals on stuff herself and she always saves a ri.dic.u.lous amount of money, like seriously I want her to do my shopping for me!

Hello Monday

Is it just me or did the weekend go by waaaaaayyyy too fast?! But then again the weekends always go by way too fast...luckily it is only a 4 day work week!! The only thing that would be better was if it was a 3 day work week but I guess I will be happy with the 4 days!

I'm happy to report that I am feeling tons better than I did last week! I woke up Saturday morning and was actually able to breathe out of my nose, which is always a nice thing to be able to do! Keegan seems to be doing better also, still has a snot nose but I mean when doesn't he, he goes to a daycare which means there is at least 1 kid at all times with some sort of "thing" going on!

Our weekend was pretty laid back. We started off Friday night with just laying around watching TV...in our new basement of course! At any given time, you can find at least one of us {if not all 3 of us} down there doing something! We decided to make it a pizza night also and went out on a limb to try something new! We have been wanting to try the new cheesy bites pizza from Pizza Hut so we did....and let me just say that it was good but not as good as I would have hoped for. Personally I like the regular stuffed crust better but that's just me. I also made a new friend Friday night....

His name is "Sloshed Reindeer" and I have a feeling that we will become great friends pretty soon!! {Thanks for the recommendation Heather...even though you actually recommended it to Cassie and I was just being a creeper and decided to try it too!}

If you live in the Red Bud area and love a good, sweet wine then you HAVE to get yourself a bottle of this!! It is absolutely de-lish!! I managed to only have one glass of it Friday night so I can make my Christmas even more merrier and bring him along with me to the family things we will be going to on Christmas day!

Keegan didn't make any new friends but he did bond with a good friend of his....

I don't think Woody was quite ready for bed though....he was still wide awake and Keegan was passed out...or maybe he was just scared that one of the trains was going to plow right over him?!?!

On Saturday we got some stuff done around the house and then we ventured out to get some more Christmas shopping done. There were only a few things that I needed to get and yet I'm still not done!! Ryan is in charge of getting one of the things {which means he will probably buy it on Christmas Eve} and I still need to get something for Keegan's teacher...and I just can't decided what to get! If anyone has any ideas feel free to let me know!! We also decided to go to one of our favorite restaurants...Lottawatta Creek. If you have never been there...GO....NOW!! But be prepared to wait because it is always crazy busy {which just goes to show how amazing it is} and I would also recommend wearing pants with an elastic waist! {You will thank me if you do!} After shopping and eating we thought it would be fun to drive around and look at Christmas lights...Keegan however decided to fall asleep so he didn't see any. We went to a couple of different subdivisions and were really surprised to find that more than half of the houses didn't have any sort of decorations what.so.ever! I mean seriously people....tis the season, put up some freakin' lights would ya!!

Sunday was another "do stuff around the house" kind of day until it was time to go to the airport to pick up my mom and brother! When we got back to town we headed to DiCarlo's for some more delicious food {and it was buffet night!}. I always love when my mom comes home because I can guarantee that I will be eating DiCarlo's multiple times while she is here {and of course because I get to spend time with her}.

that I'm not doing confessions today!! =/

I know, I know it's Friday and I do it every Friday but I'm crazy busy at work today so the blog is going to have to take a seat on the back burner!!

Wordless Wednesday

I know it's been kinda quiet around here lately but I'm lucky that I can keep my head off my desk and that I can even keep focus long enough to get this much done so you are just going to have to deal with it until I start feeling better!!

Sore Throats & Runny Noses

It's the most wonderful time of year.....

until you get sick!!

Right now we are dealing with:

runny noses

stuffy noses

sore throats

lots & lost of sinus pressure

headaches

drainage

sneezing

coughing

We sound like a commercial for medicine...except we don't have any relief yet! However that will hopefully change when I stock up on some good meds at lunch time.

Confession Friday

The time has come again where we I confess about all of the little things that have gone one throughout the week....some funny, some embarrassing, some aren't really a big deal, and some are probably a little TMI. {notice how I crossed out "we", not all of you like to play along....and for the ones that do, I LOVE reading your confessions!!}

Let's get to it.....

I confess that I have gotten a caramel mocha from McDonald's every single day this week...with the exception of today but I haven't gone to lunch yet so there is still a possibility of me getting one!

And I wonder why my clothes don't fit!!

I confess that last week we ran out of toilet paper out home and instead of going to the store to buy more we just went over to Ryan's parent's house and took a couple rolls of theirs! I eventually bought toilet paper when I went to the store to do my regular shopping for the week!

I confess that Keegan had a slight fever this morning when he woke up so I gave him some motrin asap and it was gone by the time we had to leave so he went to daycare.....yes, I know this is a major no-no but I told the director about it and told her to keep an eye on him and if anything happened to call and I would pick him up. He also said that he didn't feel good so I really hope he isn't getting sick!

I confess that I'm already using my Christmas present from Ryan! Yep, no presents under the tree for me this year....but in my defense Ryan is already using his too! Plus, who would want to wait until Christmas to use this...

I confess that since I got a 25% off coupon from Coach in the mail just days after we bought my purse I decided that I needed something to go with it.....

so I bought myself a new wallet! And in my defense it evened {is that even a word?} up the cost of our presents!

I confess that I'm beyond excited about BUNCO tonight....I didn't play last month so it seems like it has been for.ev.er since I've played! That and it is really the only "girl time" that I get....I'm surrounded by boys all.day.long {seriously, at home it is me & two boys and I'm the only girl at work....which sucks} so it is nice to be around girls for once!!

I confess that I made buckeyes last night for BUNCO tonight and I don't like they way they look so I'm not sure if I'm going to actually get them out, I might just keep them all for myself! {again....no wonder why my clothes don't fit!!} They taste perfect but they are not perfectly round like I would hope...yes I know that is crazy but I'm obsessive like that!

I confess that I shaved my legs this morning....for the first time since I don't even remember when!! Gross I know but when you wake up in the morning with justenough time to get the essentials done it's hard to squeeze it in, plus I wear pants all the time! {pretty sure this falls under the TMI & embarrassing categories!!}

I confess that I really contemplated on whether I would share the previous confession or not....it's quite embarrassing, so if any of you other girls are the same way I would love to know so I don't feel like I'm the only person who does this!!

Ok...now that I've shared too much and have embarrassed myself I'm going to quit talking typing! It's your turn....what are you going to confess to this week?!

I'm Too Young For This!!

Over the past couple of months...{ok, ok since about May} I've noticed some changes going on....and not good changes!!

At the end of April, Ryan & I went to Vegas to celebrate our one year anniversary. Before the trip everything was normal and we were just trotting along like we always do. It was probably a couple of weeks after our trip that I noticed something going on.....

My clothes weren't quite fitting the same way they use to {and no, it wasn't due to being preggo because I'm obviously not!}. It wasn't a huge deal, I mean my actual weight never went up and my clothes still fit, they were just a little more snug then before. Well the problem never got better and more clothes started to not fit and I was eventually left with having to go buy new stuff! I know what you are thinking....."girl, you need to start working out".

Here's the kicker....nothing about what I was doing changed! My eating habits stayed the same and the amount of exercise that I did was the same {and yes it is a very minimal amount}!

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!?!

Well on Thanksgiving something was brought up through girl talk and I mentioned what I was dealing with and that's when my Aunt looked at me and said "it's because you've had a baby and it's your age".....she said something else but I quite listening after she said it was my age!

Ummm.....I'm only 25!! I'm pretty sure the look on my face said exactly what I was thinking because she then said "I know you're still young & only 25 but trust me it really has to do with your age and it only gets worse after you turn 30, and then it gets even worse after you turn 40".

Really?!?!  I mean seriously...I've always heard that once you turned 30 it was all down hill and hard to maintain weight, etc., etc. BUT I still have 5 more years until I'm 30 {ok more like 4 years and a couple of months but still}!!

I'M TOO YOUNG FOR THIS TO HAPPEN ALREADY!!

I guess my new year's resolution for 2011 will be the same as the other 58373947 people throughout the world that say they are going to lose weight.....looks like I have some changes to make and I'm not necessarily thrilled about it!!

And the whole reasoning behind me posting this today is because I put on a pair of dress pants this morning that I never use to wear because they are kinda long and a little loose.....they now fit almost perfectly, a little snug but they fit. UGH!!

I got this e-mail yesterday & thought it was hilarious...not to mention if fits my problem to a T!

What is a calorie?

Calories are the little bastards that get into your wardrobe at night and sew your clothes tighter.

Let me start off my saying I HATE bugs! All kinds of bugs, I don't discriminate against one in particular, my hatred for them is equal!

I got up from my desk to grab a file out of a filing cabinet in a different room, came back to my desk and saw this....



Apparently there was a cock roach under my desk....right by my feet! I must of smashed it with the wheels on my chair because I checked the bottom of my shoes and they are clean. This totally grosses me out, it could of crawled on me!! I'm going to be freaked out for the rest of the day!

Mommy's Little Helper

Keegan has become quite the helper around the house lately! I guess since he is turned 3 he decided to become a little more mature! HAHA....he's a boy, I don't think he will ever be mature....it's not his fault, it's just how he is genetically put together!

Oh Yes....I Confess

Is it just me or has this week taken foorrrreeeevvvvveeerrrrr to finally get over with?!?! I wish every week was like last week and I only had to work 3 days!!

Nothing too exciting has happened over the past week but I'm sure I can get some half way decent confessions out of myself for you to enjoy!!

I confess that I totally convinced Keegan that he wanted pancakes from McDonald's for breakfast the other morning because then I would have an excuse to get myself a caramel mocha...which by the way is one of my new favorite obsessions!!

I confess that the green couches that Ryan picked out are slowly starting to grow on me but I still think about how amazing the red would have looked with the gray walls every single time I'm in the basement.

I confess that I'm still going to throw some zebra print stuff into the decor in the basement!! And I'm starting with this ca-ute Scentsy warmer!!

I confess that when I ordered my our Christmas cards the other day I decided to use a family picture from when we had them taken back in May for a couple of reasons: 1. I had an awesome tan {it might of been fake but it was awesome} then, 2. my face didn't look like I stuffed 20 marshmallows into my checks like it does in the most recent family pics, and 3. our outfits matched the design of the card I picked out!! YES....I am THAT person who matched our picture to the colors of the card design!!

I confess that I'm going to buy myself an extra little Christmas present since I got a 25% off coupon from Coach in the mail the other day....I'm thinking a cute wallet to go with my cute new purse!! {And yes I already have the wallet picked out, I just need to go get it!}

I confess that I haven't done my "exercises" that the chiropractor told me to do one single time yet this week.....and I've been popping my neck. I have all of next week to get back on track before I have to go see him again!

Told that there wasn't anything too exciting or juicy to spill....but that doesn't mean that you can't confess some juicy stuff!!

Family Pictures

It's that time of year again....

You know what I'm talking about, trying to find/get the perfect family picture for those Christmas cards that you will be sending out! Some people like to use pictures from summer vacations at the beach but not me, maybe that is because we have never taken a summer vacation at the beach?! Well that and there is just something about a picture with everyone in tank tops sitting on the beach that doesn't scream Christmas to me....to each their own though.

We had family pictures taken earlier this year, back in May, but I wanted a more recent picture for our Christmas cards so I warned the two wonderful guys in my life that we would be taking a family picture on Thanksgiving to use for these. When I first told them about it, Keegan's response was "no, I don't want my picture".....well that's just great! Luckily that was a week before Thanksgiving and he forgot all about that when it came time to take the pictures!!

Remember a couple of months ago when I mentioned that Keegan was now in the stage where he didn't know how to smile like a normal person? Well I'm happy to say that he now remembers how to smile again.....there is just one problem though. He smiles really nice & says "cheeeeeesssseee" until right before the picture is taken......and then he makes a silly face!! Kids....gotta love 'em!
